Week 5: Power of Veto Competition

This competition will take place live at 4PM EST on AIM, but I am posting the rules early to make it easier to get started when we're ready to begin.

Only the following housemates may compete.




This competition is called Anything you can do, I can do better!

The competition will work in five rounds. In each round, we will replay a mini version of one of the previous BBPearl competitions. I will explain to you the rules of the round, and then ask you how fast you think you can complete it.

Each housemate must then privately IM me the time they think they will require to complete the round. Once everyone has done so, I will publicly announce the fastest and slowest times given. The housemate who picked the fastest time must then attempt to compete the round in the time they chose. If they succeed, the person who chose the slowest time is eliminated. But if they fail, they will be the one eliminated.

After five rounds, the last housemate remaining in the competition will win the Power of Veto.

Because they are Have Nots, Brian and Sophie will have a disadvantage in this competition. If they choose the fastest time in a round, they will have an even tougher time completing that round. That's because they'll have to complete the round in a time 25% faster than the time they chose. Of course, they could therefore choose a slower initial time to balance out the negative effects of this disadvantage, but doing so could potentially risk making themselves have the slowest chosen time, and therefore be at risk of elimination.
